Bio

Son of George Emerson Munn of Fairfield, Clay County, Nebraska and Cecile Flora Spencer of Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska. "Gerald E. Munn, 70, of Lakewood, Colorado, died January 7, 1994 at Swedish Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colorado following a lengthy illness. Services were at Green Gables Evangelical Church in Lakewood, Colorado. Burial was in the Fort Logan Cemetery near Lakewood. Munn was born May 20, 1923 in Mason City to George and Cecile Munn. He served four years in the U.S. Army Air Corps. during World War II and overseas. On December 26, 1954, he married Ila Maack Adamson. They lived in Kearney until 1957 when they moved to Leadville,Colorado where he worked in the Climas Molybdenum Mine. In 1968, the couple moved to Denver, Colorado where he worked as a mechanic for Robinson Brick and Tile until he retired in 1984 for health reasons. Survivors include his wife of Denver, Colorado; sons Mitchell of Aurora, Colorado and Troy Adamson of Denver, Colorado; daughters Lynn Tinkle of Leadville, Colorado and Kandra Lewis of Bennett, Colorado; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother George of Omaha; sisters Iola Case and Georgina of Ansley, Rowena Trew of Lincoln, Naomi Fox of Broken Bow, Bonnie Wilson of Litchfield and Donna Henio, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and two brothers."
