Son of Lemuel Marion Munn of Seneca, Crawford County, Wisconsin and Harriet Josephine Draper of Davis County, Iowa. Husband of Cecile Flora Spencer of Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska; married on 07 Aug 1910 in Ansley, Custer County, Nebraska. "This community was deeply grieved to learn that George Munn had passed away at the Carothers Hospital at Broken Bow early Saturday morning, a few days after an operation for appendicitis and gall stones. We had known he was a pretty sick man, but it was thought that he was holding his own. George had been in pretty poor health for several years, but apparently was feeling pretty fair when he came up from his new home in Norwood, Missouri about two weeks ago, planning to work for Harry Burnham during the harvest season. George, or "Mickie" as he was better known to his many friends was a mighty fine fellow in every way, an old ball player, he was well known all over this section as a "square shooter" in every respect and the large number attending the funeral services Tuesday afternoon was one of the finest tributes to his standing in the community. His old neighbors in the McIntosh District were practically everyone there as well as bulk of towns people."
