Died. On Monday morning January 26, the spirit of life took its flight from the painracked body of Mrs. Francis Hlaavac, after a period of failing health extending over the past twelve years, the last year of her life being one of almost constant invalidism. The direct cause of her sickness the past year was seated near the heart with other complications during her last sickness. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karmazin, residents of Lawrence; she was born in Moravia 41 years ago and came to America 2 1/2 years ago. With her husband they located on their farm 4 miles south of Deweese on their arrival in Nebraska. She leaves a husband, and seven children—the eldest seventeen the youngest one year—father and mother four brothers and three sisters, all of whom reside in this vicinity to mourn her sad and untimely death. The funeral services were held at the Lawrence Catholic church Wednesday morning. The Lawrence Locomotive(Lawrence, NE), Saturday, January 31, 1903; pg. 1 =================== COUNTY HAPPENINGS.
