Mrs. Agnes Rejcek of Abbott passed away in a Waco hospital Monday following an illness of three weeks. She was 58 years old. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Smid at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Abbott at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment was in West's St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services were held at the residence in Abbott Tuesday evening. Mrs. Rejcek contracted double pneumonia three weeks ago and had been confined to a Waco hospital two weeks prior to her death. She was born in West on November 6, 1895, the youngest daughter of Joe and Annie Kohut. She was married to John Rejcek here on February 12, 1906 (sh/be February 12, 1917). Her husband is the director of a 10 piece orchestra that plays dancing engagements throughout the state. Seven of their children play in the orchestra. She was a member of the Abbott KJZT and Altar Societies. Survivors are her husband, John Rejcek; nine sons, Jerome, Raymond, and Jody Rejcek, all of Dallas, Alphonse and Felix Rejcek of Houston, Willie, Edward, Rudolph, and Leo Rejcek, all of Abbott; six daughters, Mrs. Martha Veselka of Waco, Mrs. Rudie Gaiser of Dallas, Mrs. Louise Cooper of Houston, Mrs. Mary Miller of Corpus Christi, Misses Willie Mae Rejcek and Edna Rejcek, both of Abbott; three brothers, Anton Kohut of Bomarton, Louis Kohut of West, Rudolpjh Kohut of Seymour; one sister, Mrs. Mary Marek of Seymour and 20 grandchildren.
