Martha Mary Veselka, 87, of Waco, passed on to join her husband, Louis Veselka, Monday, July 30, 2007. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Monsignor Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:30 p.m. Rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at the funeral home. Martha was born in West, Texas, and grew up in Abbott. She married Louis Veselka on Nov. 6, 1944. She was one of the earliest members of St. Louis Church and Monsignor Mark Deering was one of her oldest and dearest friends. Martha will be forever remembered for her many exceptional talents and skills including sewing, baking, wedding cakes, quilting and care taking. She was the beloved mother of Ronnie Veselka, of Aquilla, Kenneth Veselka, of Billington, Daniel Veselka, of Lorena, Michael Gonzales, of Waco, Cecilia Haferkamp, of Elm Mott, and Margie Veselka, of Murphy; loving grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of 17; daughters-in-law, Kathy Veselka, Connie Veselka, Nancy Veselka, Dorothy Gonzales and Linda Dedmon; son-in-law, Doug Haferkamp; sisters, Rudy, Mary, Willie Mae, Edna; and brothers, Felix, Edward, Rudolph and Leo Rejcek.
