Bio
Nora Mary Meyers was born 15 June 1882 in Walker County, Georgia, USA. She was 9th of the twelve children born to Andrew Jackson Meyers (1843-1908) and Caroline Sophrona [Phillips] Meyers (1848-1903). Siblings: Henry James Meyers (1866-1904), Louisa Hazeltine [Meyers] Burk (1868-1926), William E. Meyers (1870-1887), Juliet Ada [Meyers] Poole (1873-1910), Ottis Clinton Meyers (1875-1928), Virginia Meyers (1876-1878), Lorenzo Madison Meyers (1878-1937), Jesse Lee Meyers (1880-1923), George P. Meyers (1884-1947) Freddie Meyers (1886-1887), and Homer Meyers (1889-1911). She grew up on the family farm near Lookout Mountain on the Georgia/Tennesse border. Nora was married to John L. Walden (1883-1948). Children: Earl William Walden (1902-?), Rease Walden (1904-1988) and Elmer Walden (1909-1985). She died 1 April 1965 in Walker County, Georgia and was laid to rest beside her husband in the Coulter Memorial Cemetery in Cassandra, Walker, Georgia. Nora was 82 years of age and the last of her twelve siblings to pass away.
