Bio

William Kucera, 77, Lawrence, died Sunday, May 18, at the Good Samaritan Center, Nelson. A retired farmer he lived all his life in the Deweese and Lawrence communities. Scripture services were Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Church. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Church, Lawrence with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Stella; two sons, Valerian and Wenceslaus both of Deweese; a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Miller of Guide Rock; 18 grandchildren; four brothers, John and Leonard both of Lawrence and Prokop and Tom both of Deweese. The Merten-Butler Funeral Home of Blue Hill was in charge. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, May 22, 1975; pg. 10
