The Deweese Booster (Deweese, NE), Friday, September 15, 1916; pg. 3 Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Catholic church occured (sic) the marriage of Miss Mary Drapel (sic) to Procrop (sic) Kucero (sic). Father Kopecky officiated. ∼ Prokop Kucera dies Prokop A. Kucera 86, of Deweese passed away Wednesday, July 22 at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. Mr. Kucera farmed in the Deweese area and was also a carpenter. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption church in Deweese. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Clarence of St. Helens, Ore., and Albert of Billings, Mont., five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited at Assumption church Friday evening at 8 P.M. and the Mass of the Ressurection was Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Father Edwin Stander officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
