Married Henry Wynfield Hoyt on September 28, 1867 in Iowa Co., Iowa Henry and Rosa were granted a divorce in 1895 at Quickville, Thomas Co., Kansas on the grounds of desertion ---------------- From "Leader-Independent", Greeley, Nebraska dated Thursday, November 19, 1914, Page 1: Obituary As was stated in last Thursday's issue, Mrs. Pinkerton's funeral was held that day from the Methodist Episcopal church with interment in the cemetery north of town. A son, James Hoyt of Fairfield and a daughter, Mrs. M. H. Brown of Clay Center and Mrs. C. I. Donnell, formerly Rachael Pinkerton, from Arcadia were here to attend the funeral. Mrs. Pinker on was born in Illinois March 25, 1850, and at the time of her death was sixty five years old. She was the daughter of John and Mary Miller and when a young lady, was united in marriage to a Mr. Hoyt who died some time ago. In January of 1908 she was married to Joseph Pinkerton. Her health had been a source of worry to the family for some time and but few knew that, as a result, her mind was failing her, and with a hope that new surroundings might be of benefit to her, Mr. Pinkerton was planning to remove from here as soon as a suitable place could be found, but 'ere this could come about the sad end overtook her and she has been taken to a new home of rest and peace. Mr. Pinkerton has resigned his place as carrier on Route No. 1 and as soon as a disposal of his personal effects can be made he will go to Arcadia to make his home with his daughter.
