Funeral services for Frank Linden were held Wednesday afternoon at the Litchfield Methodist church. The Rev. C. F. Weideman officiated. A trio composed of Joanne Jensen, Janet Rainforth, and Lorine Weideman sang, accompanied at the piano by Carol Rainforth. Pallbearers were William Kreoger, Galen Ward, William Kabiser, John Cherry, Harold Bauer, and Rudolph Weisner. Burial was in the Litchfield cemetery. Mr. Linden aged 83 years, one month and 20 days, died Sunday evening, January 16, 1955, at his home in Litchfield. He had been in ill health for many years and seriously ill for two weeks. Frank Joseph Linden, son of John and Mary (Phillipie) Linden, was born November 27, 1871, in Carroll County, Ohio. He married Nora Bender May 10, 1910, in Louisville, Nebraska. The couple came to Litchfield from Omaha 43 years ago and settled on a farm. They retired from the farm and moved into town eight years ago. Survivors include his wife, Nora; three sons, Harold A. Linden, Alva L. Linden, Frankie E. Linden; two daughters, Mrs. Berniece Hansen all of Litchfield, Mrs. Ruby Smith of Mason City, 14 grandchildren and many neices and nephews.
