Bio

Harold Linden, 88, of Litchfield, Nebraska, died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Rose Lane Home In Loup City, Nebraska. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gabriel's Church in Hazard, Nebraska. Burial will be at the Litchfield Cemetery. Wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church in Hazard. Memorials are suggested to the Litchfield Cemetery. Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 22, 1911, in Omaha, Nebraska to Frank and Nora (Bender) Linden. He attended school at District 116 in Buffalo County. On May 22, 1939, he married Cecilia Miodowski in Hazard. They made their home on a farm southwest of Litchfield. His wife died in 1975. In 1978, he married Grace (Anderson) Runge and they lived in Litchfield. She died in 1994. He was the caretaker of the Litchfield Cemetery for several years. Survivors include is daughter, Eva (John) Eckhout, Amherst; son, Richard (Carol) of Litchfield; brother, Frankie, Pleasanton; sister, Ruby Smith, Litchfield; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his wives, Harold was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
