Also has a marker in the Soldiers Home Cemetery John P. Linden ******* Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Monday, 29 May 1916, page 5 VETERAN SOLDIER RESPONDS TO FINAL CALL OF TAPS Mr. J. P. Linden, a member of the Soldiers' Home, died at that institution yesterday morning following a stroke of paralysis. Deceased was born in Germany May 9, 1844, and was 72 years of age. Besides his heart-broken widow he leaves several children to mourn his loss. The funeral will take place from the home, 615 West Sixth street tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, followed by services at the German Lutheran church, Rev. Michelman officiating. Interment will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
