Bio

Birth and death dates on headstone are wrong. Obituary dated 17 Sept. 1902 Bill Barlow's Budget (BBB) newspaper. GLENROCK NEWS. Some six weeks ago J. Brock Wells accidentally shot himself in the knee with a .22 caliber rifle. He has had attending him at different times no less than five doctors; Rogg and Laughlin of this place, Sufely and Jesurun of Douglas, and Rohrbaugh of Casper; but surgical skill did not save him and Monday morning at 9:30 he died. The interment will take place on Wednesday. He was a native of Texas where his parents now reside and came to Wyoming six years ago. Brock Wells who accidentally shot himself in the leg some weeks ago, died at Glenrock Monday morning of blood poisoning. Dr. Jesurun went up Saturday night in response to a call from the physician in charge, to amputate the limb: but refused to perform the operation when he saw the patient.
