Obituary. Kerrville Times, Kerrville, TX. March 12, 1931 Harry Wells, Well Known Kerr County Resident Passed Away Friday. After an illness of only a few days, Harry H. Wells died at his residence in this city Friday. He had been in charge of the bridge and culvert work on the South Fork, and from exposure to the weather contracted pneumonia. He returned to his home here, 629 Gilmer Street, Monday, and after battling for life for a few days, passed away Friday night. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Kerrville Methodist Church, the pastor, Rev. Shan M. Hull, assisted by Revs.C.E. Wheat and Paul Van Dyke, conducted the services. The services at the gravesite in the Sunset Cemetery were under th I.O.O.F. Lodge, No. 845 of Kerrville. The pallbearers were G.C. Gunderstadt, Jim Peril, John Henderson, Walter Peterson, Jack Moore and Dick Eastland. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. A large number of people from Kerrville and other points attended the funeral, attesting the high esteem in which Harry Wells was held by all who knew him. Harry H. Wells was born in Yorktown, DeWitt County, Oct. 10, 1881, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Wells. At the age of one year his parents brought him to Kerr County where he has resided since. He was married April 30, 1911 to Miss Anna Billings of DeWitt County, who survives. Three children were born to them, one son, Harold, and two daughters, Thelma and Anna Louise. Two brothers and two sisters also survive, Monroe and Rufus, and Mrs. Bessie Henderson and Mrs. Rachel Maddox.
