She was the daughter of Robert Andrew and Lena Rivers Wheeler Cowan. She married Harold Dean Grounds May 22, 1948 in Trenton, Texas. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Harold Wayne Grounds and wife Judy of Bonham, Texas, Charles Grounds and wife Diann of Mansfield, Texas, Scott Grounds and wife Vickie of Fort Worth, Texas, Bryon Grounds of Hamilton, Texas, Lowell Grounds and wife Kim of Princeton, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law Lena McVay and husband Steve of Grandbury, Rochelle George and husband Ronnie of McKinney, Texas, Carold Christenson and husband Larry of Hamilton, Texas; sisters Dorotha Rae Mullins of California, Barbara Dockery of Melissa, Texas, Jackie Rocha of Allen, Texas, Judy Cowan of McKinney, Texas, Linda Baker of Blue Ridge, Texas, and johnsay Hedrick of Irving, Texas, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
