Barbara Juliana Terry, age 69, of Melissa, Texas, passed away July 26, 2016. Barbara was born May 27, 1947, in Sherman, Texas, to Robert Andrew "Bob" and Lena Rivers (Wheeler) Cowan. She was a sales engineer in the telecommunications field. Barbara married Harvey Terry on November 13, 2010, in Denison, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Harvey Terry of Melissa, Texas; sons, Cris Hurst and wife, Amy and Trevor Hurst and wife, Samantha, all of Merit, Texas; step-sons, Terry Daniel Terry and wife, Jessie of Anna, Texas, Christopher Wayne Terry and wife, Nicole, also of Anna, and William Robert Terry and wife, Holly of Gordonville, Texas; sisters, Judy Cowan of McKinney, Texas and Jackie Cowan Rocha and husband, Raul "Ray" of Allen, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, nine sisters, and grandson, William Thor Terry. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
