WENDLAND, Carl L. of Taylor. Age 96. Died on Monday, April 5, 1971, in a Taylor Nursing Home. Services were held on Wednesday in Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. E. Herber officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons served as pallbearers. He was born on May 29, 1874, and was a retired farmer. Member of St.Paul Lutheran Church of Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Wendland of Taylor; three daughters, Mrs. Gus (Lena) Schramm, Mrs. Clara Wendland of Eola, and Mrs. Dora Yancey of Austin; four sons, Albert of Taylor, Alfred of Manor, Charlie and Gilbert both of Hutto; sister, Mrs. Mary Rolf of Taylor; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
