A single marker for "Grandmother" Ludwine Barth, 1879-1963, is next to a single marker for Carl Barth, born 16 Dec 1882, died 20 Jan 1911 "Heir ruht in Frieden ..." Ludwina (Wendland) Barth, daughter of Herman J. Wendland and Mary Haberlein, was born 25 Sept 1879, in Cele, Travis County, Texas. She married Carl Barth, 20 Dec 1906. They had one son, Elmer, born 9 Jan 1909. In 1910, 26 year old Carl Barth with wife Ludwina and one year old son Elmer were living in the dwelling next to Ludwina's parents. Carl was a farmer. Carl died in January 20, 1911, when his son was barely 2 years old. In 1920, Ludwina (Wendland) Barth and her son Elmer Barth, age 11, were living with her parents, Herman Wendland (age 75) and Marie Wendland (age 64), and her brother Fritz Wendland, age 25. Herman and Fritz were farming. Ludwina worked as a private nurse. In 1930, Ludwina's son, Elmer Barth, 21, was working as a farm laborer and living with his grandmother, Maria Wendland, age 74. At the same time, Ludwina (Wendland) Barth, a 50 year old widow, was living nearby with her aunt, Rosa Henke, age 76. Ludwina's son Elmer died in 1954; Ludwina died 1962. Pauline Cramer.
