Agnes Rejsek Litvik of East Bernard, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family Monday, December 4, 2017. The youngest of eight, she was born October 25, 1933 in Olivia Minnesota to Albert and Mary Hlavinka Rejsek. At the age of 3, her parents along with 4 siblings, moved from the family farm in Minnesota and settled in East Bernard. The last of eight to leave this earthly home, Agnes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar J Litvik, Sr., her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Agnes was the vision of a sweet, kind, and gentle, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She leaves behind 2 children. Bernadette Horelica and husband Albert Jr., of Wharton; a son, Oscar J Litvik, Jr. (Scer) and wife Rosemary of East Bernard; along with her grandchildren, Shelley Gaddie and husband Brian, Amy Horelica, Albert Horelica III, Erin Litvik, and Robin Litvik. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren. After 17 years of working in the school cafeteria of East Bernard ISD, Agnes decided to retire and become a full-time grandmother. She would proudly spend many a day watching and cheering her grandchildren from the sidelines of every sport venue. She enjoyed gardening and in the spring would delight in watching hummingbirds flutter around the multitude of collected plants and flowers. As time passed and grandchildren grew, she found joy in cooking and would work part-time at the Picket Fence along side her beloved sister, Celestine. Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard on Thur., December 7, 2017. Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM followed by the rosary at 9:00 AM and Funeral mass thereafter at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Albert Horelica III, Karson Gaddie, Riley Owen, Frank Hlavinka, Kenneth Litvik, Lloyd Litvik, Frankie Rejsek, and Larry Wetz. Honorary Pallbearers include grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
