Josephine Mary Curry, 97, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Arlington. Funeral Mass: 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd, Arlington. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas. Visitation: 10-12 p.m. prior to the service at the church with a rosary beginning at 10 a.m. Josephine was born on November 14, 1919 in Tours, Texas to John Clement Uptmore and Mary Catherine Seith Uptmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Curry; and her son, Calvin Scoggins. Survivors: Son, Doug Scoggins; sister, Ernestine Kaluza and husband, Rudy; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren.
