Bio

Funeral for George N. McNelly, who died Wednesday afternoon of last week in the Shackelford County Memorial Hospital, was held in Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery. Mr. McNelly, who was 80, had been in declining health for some time. He was born March 11, 1888, at Cottonwood, Callahan County. he was employed in the oil fields, and came to Albany some 15 years ago where he worked as a tool dresser, before retiring.
