Bio

Little Dela Dallas was the only daughter born to Reuben T. and Mary Ellen (Bevill) Dallas. She was born at Villa Grove, which was a stage coach stop, close to the mines where her father worked. The 1885 Census provides a small bit of information for Dela and her parents. Dela had four brothers, all of whom lived to be senior citizens. She also had a half brother and half sister, under her father, Reuben's first marriage. She had a half brother, Arthur, under her father, Reuben's third marriage, and a couple of step siblings as well. Her father married 3 times. Her mother, once. Dela's parents were living in Saguache County, CO when both she and her brother William Otis Dallas were born. She was my father's paternal aunt.
