Bio

Earl was the son of W.H. "Newton" Lewis and Mary Ellen (Elliott) Lewis. He married Ruth Bagley in 1942 and after Ruth's death in 1967 he married Ruby Jo Pounds Webb in 1968. Earl had no children by either marriage, however, his step-daughter by his marriage to Ruth was Jeanne Green. A lifetime resident of Eastland, TX, Earl served in the U.S. Navy Construction Batallion (Seabees) in WW II. He retired from Texas Electric Company after 40 yrs of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Eastland, TX. Earl's first wife, Ruth, is buried at Eastland Cemetery and his second wife, Jo, is buried at Cottonwood Cemetery, Cisco, TX.
