Robert Freelan Jones, 61, died at 4:30 p.m. at his home in Nolan. Justice of the Peace Thomas Greene ruled death from natural causes. Services were to be at 2 p.m. Monday in Nolan Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Byrd, pastor, officiating, with the Rev. Stanley Simmons assisting. Burial was to be in Slater's Chapel Cemetery in Nolan. Mr. Jones was born June 20, 1912, in Sinton. He married Minnie L. Crum on June 2, 1932, in Dora. Mr. Jones lived in the Nolan area for 57 years and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Nolan Baptist Church and was a master Mason and member of the Elton Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. June Clark of Nolan; one son, John R. of Middletown, Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. J. D. Modrall, Mrs. W. C. Payne, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Jessie Ramsey of Lenora; four brothers, Clebert of McKinney, Bernard of Nolan, Rexford of Abilene and J.L. of Mt. Pleasant and seven grandchildren.
