Bio
John Ralph Jones, 84, was born on Feb. 25, 1935 in Nolan, Texas to Robert 'Rob' and Minnie Crum Jones. He passed away in Austin, Texas on August 15, 2019. John was a 1953 graduate of Divide School in Nolan. Having exceptional artistic talent, he was accepted into the New York School of Visual Arts. After graduating, he taught many years at The Famous Artists School in Connecticut. During his time there, his house burned and he built it back, completely by hand. He was also an illustrator for Weekly Reader for many years. John was an actor having bit parts in numerous movies. Having many talents, John was also a writer. He was the author of five books penned under the name John Asher. He was survived by four children, four grandchildren and his sister, Nita June. Contributor: Janyth Ussery 50548588
