Bio

BETTY LEE FLASHER METCALF Betty Lee Metcalf, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Elderberry Health Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Henry and Bertha Hensley Flasher, son, Roger Dale, sisters, Bonada Ogle and Mary Ellen Hunt, brothers, Emet, Marvin and Billy Flasher and grandson, Michael Dean Metcalf, Jr. She was survived by her sons, Michael Metcalf (Wanda), John Robert, Jr. (Rosie, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Betty was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and retired from Microswitch. A funeral was held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at Clark Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
