Mary Ellen Hunt, 82, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2011. The graveside service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Dean Cemetery in Dean, Texas with Rev. Donnie Mayberry, officiating. Arrangements was under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Mary was born on October 11, 1928 in Biltmore, North Carolina. She was a longtime resident of Wichita Falls, and retired from the Wichita Falls State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Flasher and Bertha Hensley Flasher; her brothers, Emmett Flasher, Rev. Billy Flasher, and Marvin Flasher; a sister, Bonada Ogle; her husband, Thomas D. Hunt, Sr.; and her son, Tommy Lane Hunt. She leaves behind a son, Terry Lee Hunt and wife Frances of Wichita Falls; granddaughters, Kristy Sanchez of Venus, Shelby Young of Decatur, Pamila Schardt of Azle, and Kimberly Hunt of Wichita Falls; six great-grandchildren, Payton and Kourtney Werley, Katlyn and Grahm Young, and Alex and Joshua Schardt; and her sister, Betty Metcalf.
