Daughter of William Norton and Henrietta Mary Ellen Tharp Young. Married Roman Elmer Bryant Jan 18, 1907 and had the following children: Opal Bryant Iva Bryant Arrington Gilbert Bryant Imogene Bryant Bashkor Elam Married Tobe Herren after her first husband died. Obituary: HERRIN, Mrs. Vera P. formerly of Thorndale. Age 71. Died 4/24/1964. Graveside services held (Sunday) at the Thorndale City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Giles, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church officiated. Phillips & Luckey, Rockdale, in charge of arrangements. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters, Mrs. Opal Harlan of San Jose, CA., Mrs. Iva Arrington of Petaluma, CA., Mrs. Jean Bashkor of Boron, CA.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Katye Gregory and Mrs. Cordye Campbell, both of Thorndale and Mrs. Dollie Yarborough of Buckholts; 3 brothers, Claude Young of Troy, Monroe Young of Waco, and Dewey Young of Austin; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
