Sally Ada (Bateman) Simpson Derrick Ridens Sally Ada Bateman was the 4th daughter and the 6th child of John Daniel Bateman and Laura Ada Woolley Bateman. She 1st married Elvey Simpson, 2nd marriage was to Marvin S. Derrick and they had 1 daughter. Her 3rd marriage was to Bill Ridens. Jean Wallace Bateman Family History Obituary source, unknown. Funeral services for Sally Ada Simpson, 89, Canton, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Eubank Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with Rev. Bill Hughes officiating. Buriel was in the White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Mrs Simpson died Sunday in a Wills Point nursing home after a lengthy illness. She was born March 15, 1896. She was a Methodist. She worked in food service with the state hospital. She had lived in Wichita Falls for 25 years, her earlier years being spent in the Canton area. Survivors include two sisters, Monnie Baugh and Lera Platter, both of Canton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were M. J. Baugh, Devon Baugh, Don Platter, Wayne Bateman, Clavin Platter, Norman Bateman, Tommy Baugh and Leonard Baugh.
