Laura Ada Woolley Bateman was the 2nd daughter and the 4th child of Hugh James Monroe Bateman and Caroline Lankford Woolley. She married John Daniel Bateman, the 1st son and the 1st child of James Jefferson Bateman and Sarah Ann Barber Bateman, on Feb 1, 1883 in Rusk Co., TX. They had 6 sons and 6 daughters.
