Derrick and Sally Ada Bateman Derrick. She was the granddaughter of John Daniel Bateman and Laura Ada Wooley Bateman. Bateman Family History Obituary source, unknown. Marvalee, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Derrick, died Sunday morning at 1:15 o'clock after a short illness, death - resulting from heart trouble. The deceased was born Jan. 20, 1919, being in her third year, and was the idol of the home. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. C. Pugslay. A large number of friends and relatives assembled to assist in the last sad rites and many beautiful flowers were in evidence as tokens of sympathy. The remains were laid to rest in White Rose cemetery. The bereaved parents and other relatives have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
