Bio

HARDIN Mary Buechler and her husband farmed near Burnstad, N.D, Bridger, St. Xavier, and north of Hardin, retiring to Hardin in 1949. She was a member of St. Joseph Altar Society. Mrs.Buechler, 92, died Tuesday in Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. Born in Linton, N.D, a daughter of Rochus and Elizabeth Vetsch, she grew up and attended Linton schools. On Feb. 16, 1914, she married Ludwig Buechler in Linton; he died in 1963. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Meinhardt of Custer, Placidia "Pete" Stoltz of Livingston and Sophie Elliott of Shepherd; five sons, Roy of Joliet, Tony, Matt and Ben, all of Hardin, and Ole of Billings; two sisters, Barbara Schindler of Corvallis, Ore, and Helen Grinstiner of Baker; 32 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday in Bullis Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.. the Billings Gazette 10-22-1987
