HARDIN Ludwig G. Buechler, 71, retired Big Horn Valley farmer, died in a Billings hospital of a kidney disease Tuesday. He had been hospitalized since Wednesday Mr. Buechler was born June 11, 1892, in Bucharest, Romania, a son of Mr. and Mrs.Carl Buechler. In 1896, he came to the United States with his parents, to North Dakota He married May Vetsch Feb. 16 1914 in Linton, N.D. They moved to Napoleon, N.D., in 1922 and to Bridger in 1937. A year later, they moved to the Hardin area where they farmed in the Big Horn Valley. In 1949, they moved to Hardin where he was employed at the Fox Service Center until his retirement I in 1956. Besides the widow, he is sur vived by seven sons, Joe, Tony, Ben and Ole of Hardin, Ray of Wheeler, Texas, Martin of Nye and Matt of Lander, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Meinhardt and Mrs. Everett Stoltz of Billings and Mrs. Joe Elliott of LaSalle, two sisters, a brother, 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Requiem high mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph H. Small, celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bums funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Hardin- Fairview Cemetery.. The Billings Gazette 8-01-1963
