loysius "Ole" Buechler was born to Ludwig and Mary Vetsch Buechler on April 6, 1934, in Napoleon, N.D. He was the ninth child of 11. When he was 4 years old, they moved to Montana. He was raised and attended school in Hardin. Ole married Ramona Schollaert on Nov. 27, 1953, in Billings and they had one son, Steve Buechler (Joanne) and two grandchildren, Tony and Mitch. Also a niece, Jennifer Evenson, who is like a daughter. He worked at Stotts Standard Service in the '50s and, in the '60s, he worked for Morrison Knudsen, building electrical towers from Custer to Yellowtail Dam, and later was an operator at the screening plant at Yellowtail Dam. He then worked for Floyd Warren, Inc. Feedlot in Hardin for 19 years, doing a job he loved. Ole had a brain aneurysm rupture in 1993. On March 29, 2009, he had a second aneurysm and passed away on March 31, 2009. Ole was predeceased by his parents; six brothers, Carl, Martin, Joe, Ben, Matt and Roy; two sisters, Mary Meinhardt and Sophie Elliott. Surviving Ole are his wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brother, Tony Buechler of Hardin and sister Deana Stoltz of Livingston; brothers-in-law, Al Mac Sween of Bozeman, Everett Stoltz of Livingston and Lloyd Schollaert of California; sisters-in-law, Agnes Buechler of Joliet, Corrine Buechler of Hardin, Elaine Wildin, Billings, Virginia Mac Sween, Bozeman, Charlotte O'Dowd, Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ole was a tough and tender person who wasn't afraid of what life dealt him. He was never a complainer, was a hard worker and a very decent man. He will be missed by many.
