Bio

Henry Clay Saddoris son of Henry and Margaret Saddoris was born north of Osceola, Iowa December 17, 1854 and departed this life at the home of his son, Pearl Saddoris, April 16, 1934 at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was united in marriage, February 1, 1876 to Ellen Brummett. To this union were born two children. All of his life was spent in Clarke County, where he was engaged in farming. Until 1903 when he moved to Osceola. Here he spent the remainder of his life, excepting the past few weeks when his failing health necessitated moving to the home of his son Pearl. There he was cared for by the family. Funeral services were held from the Pearl Saddoris home Tuesday at 3:30 pm conducted by the Rev. F.C. McCallon, pastor of the local Church of Christ. The pall bearers were the six grandsons. Interment was made in the Forest Drive cemetery, a section of greenwood. The Sentinel - Osceola, Iowa - April 19, 1934
