Funeral services were held from the Webster funeral home Thursday December 26 for Mrs. Frances Saddoris 90 who passed away at her Murray home Sunday December 22, 1946. The Rev. C.C. Miller was in charge and burial was made in Maple Hill cemetery. Frances Ellen Saddoris, daughter of Robert and Iantha Brummitt, was born near Sedalia, Missouri December 21, 1856 and passed away at the home of her granddaughter Mr. Albert McNichols at Murray on December 22, 1946, having just passed her 90th birthday. She was united in marriage with Henry Clay Saddoris Jr. on February 1, 1877. To this union were born two children. Her husband preceded her in death April 16, 1934. When a small child, she with her parents moved by covered wagon to Clarke County, Iowa where she made her home until the death of her husband; since then spending part of the time with her granddaughter, Mrs Earl Price in Illinois and remainder with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren here. Hers was a useful and industrious life. She was a faithful wife and mother, being an inspiration for good to all her associates and a believer in the Lord, dearly loving her family, friends and neighbors.
