Funeral services for Pearl C. Saddoris who died Saturday, were held from the Webster Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. F.C. McCallon. Pearl C., son of Henry and Ellen Saddoris, was born in Clarke County, Iowa, on December 13, 1877, and died Saturday, July 18, age 58 years. He had lived his entire life in this county except a few months spent in Nebraska and Wyoming. On March 5, 1896, he was married to Elizabeth May Twombley. Twelve children were born to this union, four girls and eight boys. Two of the boys died in infancy. Mr. Saddoris was a farmer all his life, taking an active interest in affairs pertaining to his work, always striving for the betterment of his home and community. For 21 years he has been a member of the I.O.O.F. About five years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he appeared to have recovered until about two weeks ago when a second attack occurred from which he was unable to rally. Services were conducted from the Webster Funeral Home Monday, July 20, by Rev. F.C. McCallon of the Church of Christ. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Osceola Sentinel - July 21, 1936
