Bio

John Ernest Blair was born 23 April 1904 in Los Angeles, California to William Harvey Blair and Josephine Henriette McTigue Blair. His parents died when he was a young boy, his mother when he was six and his father when he was 11 years of age. John had an older brother, William Edwin Blair, an older sister, Mary Alice, and two younger sisters, Ora and Blanche Esther Blair. John married Wilma Shirley Roberts in Superior, Arizona on 11 November, 1928. He and Wilma had four children: Peggy Marie 11/16/1929, John Ernest Jr. 7/16/1931, Eleanor Mae 7/4/1932 and Darwin Wayne Blair 5/27/1937. John was a miner in Arizona and Nevada most of his life. He died from complication resulting from injurIes he suffered in a mine accident in Superior, Arizona. He was first admitted to the hospital in Florence, AZ and later transferred to the Arizona State Hospital without the knowledge of his family. There he passed away from pulmonary tuberculosis on 18 June 1937 and buried with family and personal data recorded as unknown in the State Hospital Cemetery. (Source: Blair Family History, Ruth I.
