Blanche Esther Blair and her twin sister, Ora Blair were born 3 November 1907, in Warren, Cochise County, Arizona to Josephine Henriette McTigue and William Harvey Blair. Their mother died in 1910 when Blanche and Ora were two and half years of age. They and their older siblings, Eddie, Alice & Johnny Blair were orphaned when their father died in 1915 in Courtland, AZ. After some time in the Catholic orphanage, Blanche was adopted by Mark Pomeroy Spear and Adelia Pratt Spear in Bisbee, Arizona. About the same time, Ora was adopted by a family named Frazen and moved to Alaska. Ora died in 1927, in Seattle, Washington, shortly after becoming a registered nurse. Blanche was named Esther Blanche Spear after her adoption. IL), miner in copper mine; Hattie Robinson, wife, (age 34, b. IL); Vivian Robinson, daughter, (age 14, b. IL), student. Neighboring house lists Mark P Spear, Head, (age 46, b. CA), Carpenter in mine; Adelia Spear, Wife, (age 40. b. Iowa); Esther, daughter, (age 12, b. Iowa) (Esther was born in AZ, not Iowa), student. On 12 October 1928, Blanche (Esther Spear) married Fred Joseph Schuller in Pinal County, Arizona. Fred was born 18 March 1908, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, son of Frederick & Katherine Odor Schuller. Blanche and Fred were living in the small mining town of Ray, Pinal County, Arizona when daughters, Ora Lee was born July 6, 1929, and Jeanne Carol, July 23, 1930. Blanche's sister, Alice Blair, and brother-in-law, Henry Baker, were also living in Ray at that time where Henry and Fred worked at the Ray Mill. Her brothers, William E. "Eddie" and Johnny Blair, and their families were living in nearby Superior, Arizona. By 1935 Fred, Blanche and the girls were living on Wyoming Street in El Paso, Texas where Fred worked as a Machinist. Their third daughter, Freddie Jo was born in El Paso on April 8, 1935. Their sons, William E. 'Bill' Schuller, Apr 17, 1940; John D. Schuller, June 20, 1945; and Kenneth S. Schuller; all born in El Paso, Texas. (Bio from Niece, Ruth I. She was a long time resident of Fabens, and a member of Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Fabens. Survivors are husband, Fred J. Schuller, Fabens; daughters, Ora Lee Houston, Fabens; Jeanne Paul, Clint; Freddie Jo Peterson, El Paso; sons, William E. Schuller, Clint; John D. Schuller, Clint; Kenneth S. Schuller, Cardiff, CA; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 9:00 A.M. Friday at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Fr. Peter Voelker officiating.
