Bio
Josephine Henriette "Josie" McTigue was born 10 October 1874 in Silver City, Lyon County, Nevada to John McTigue and Mary McTigue. Both parents were born in Ireland, arriving in America at a very young age. Josie married William Harvey Blair in Gold Hill, Nevada on 1 October 1894. They were living in Silver City, Lyon County, Nevada when their son William Edwin was born in 1899 and daughter, Mary "Alice" was born in 1902. They were in Los Angeles, CA when son John Ernest was born in 1904, then in Warren, Arizona when twin daughters Ora and Blanche Esther were born in 1907. The family was living in Courtland, Cochise County, Arizona when Josie died from child birth on 10 May 1910. William who was a miner all his life died five years later from pneumonia on 10 August 1915, leaving five young orphans. Josie's siblings: Caroline Ann "Carrie" McTigue (Stephan) 1859~1937 Edwin McTigue 1861~1900 Franklin McTigue 1863~ Mamie A.McTigue 1865~1888 William McTigue 1870 Courtland, Arizona is a Ghost Town. Death certificates for both William and Josie state they were buried in the Courtland Cemetery. Grave markers have not been found for them.
