Bio

Herald Coaster, March 4, 1980: Funeral services for Henry Schonert, 60, of Needville, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Needville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Schonert died Monday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Jefferson Lake Sulphur Plant. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Schonert; three daughters, Verna Mae Gray of Needville, Virginia Ann Lathem of Sugar Land, Laverne David of Houston; sisters, Henrietta Sebesta of Needville, Roxie Jacobe of Tyler; two brothers, Bennie Schonert of Bryson and Ervin Schonert of Rosenberg; eight grandchildren. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg and until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Viewing will be in the church after 10 a.m. Wednesday and until services.
