Fort Bend Herald, November 29, 2005: Memorial services for Herbert H. Tappe will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Peace Lutheran Church, 1026 Radio Lane in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Norm Albertson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Herbert was born June 22, 1912 in William Penn, Texas, to Henry and Katie Lampe Tappe, and he died Nov. 28, 2005, at Oak Bend Medical Center. Herbert retired from H.L. & P. after 41 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the SeaBees in the South Pacific. He was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Dorothy Mae Bingham and Louise Addecks; and wife, Amanda. He is survived by his wife, Loraine Tappe; stepson, William Stubblefield and wife, Janet; brother, Walter; and sisters, Martha Ray and Leona LaRosa. Memorials maybe made to Peace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 486, Rosenberg, Texas, 77471. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, Inc., 1201 Fourth St. in Rosenberg. 281-342-4671. Note: Married second wife, Helen Louise Thielemann, on September 11, 1971.
