Bio

Herald Coaster, October 2, 1977: Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Tappe, 86, of Rosenberg, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Rosenberg, with Rev. Charles Surovik officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call by the Garmany and Co. Rosenberg Chapel after 4 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Tappe, a native of Washington County, had lived in Fort Bend since 1928. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Louise Addicks of Odessa, Mrs. Martha Ray and Mrs. Leona LaRosa of Rosenberg; sons, Herbert and Walter of Rosenberg; sisters, Mrs. Annie Loesch of Needville, Mrs. Elsie Rosenbaum of Brenham, Mrs. Minnie Kettler of Brenham, Mrs. Tilda Schumacher of Wallis, and Mrs. Selma Schwartz of Groesbeck; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
