Bio

Herald Coaster, March 3, 1970: Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Tappe, 70, of 1200 Seventh St., Rosenberg, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Peace American Lutheran Church, with the Rev. A.L. Pfennig officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Tappe died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday in Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton. She was a native of Hamilton County and had been a Rosenberg resident for 42 years. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Tappe; sister, Mrs. Nora Wuistinger of Winters; six brothers, Louis Tischler of Indian Gap, Charlie Tischler of Lubbock, Erick Tischler of Hamilton, and Monroe Tischler, Ben Tischler, and Lee Tischler, all of Winters; and numerous other relatives. Memorials may be made to the Peace American Lutheran Church Building Fund. Pallbearers were Albert Ludwig, Melvin Kurtz, Erwin Muegge, A.D. Schulze, Bill Lampe, and Johnny Lampe. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.
