Fort Bend Herald, April 4, 2007: Funeral services for Leona LaRosa, 86, of Rosenberg, are at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, at Peace Lutheran Church, 1400 Radio Lane in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Norm Albertson officiating. The family will hold a private burial service. Friends are welcome to the visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Garmany and Carden Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Mrs. LaRosa passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Richmond. She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in William Penn, Washington County. She worked in the Fort Bend County Tax Office and also in the LCISD Tax Office. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Mrs. LaRosa was preceded in death by her father, Henry Tappe; mother, Katie Tappe; brother, Herbert Tappe; sisters: Louise Addecks, and Dorothy Mae Bingham; and husband, Larry F. LaRosa. She is survived by her two sons, James Henry LaRosa and Michael William LaRosa; sister, Martha Ray; and brother, Walter Tappe; granddaughter, Kathryn Kelly LaRosa; and grandson, James August LaRosa; two sisters-in-law, Grace LaRosa and Lorraine Tappe.
