Bio

Herald Coaster, December 10, 1972: Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday for Henry Tappe, 85, a Rosenberg resident who died Friday after a long illness. Trinity Lutheran Church in Rosenberg was the site of the services, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A retired farmer, Mr. Tappe had been a Fort Bend County resident since 1928. He was previously employed with Jefferson Lake Sulphur Co. and had been active in the Fort Bend County Fair. Survivors include his wife, Katie; daughters, Mrs. Martha Ray and Leona LaRosa, all of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Louise Addicks of Paintsville, Ky.; his sons, Herbert and Walter, both of Rosenberg; brothers, Fred of Fort Worth and Charlie, John, and Ed, all of William Penn; a sister, Mrs. Emma Wehring of Houston; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
