Bio

Fort Bend Herald, May 26, 2016: H. Loraine Tappe passed into the arms of her Lord on May 25, 2016 after a long and happy life. The eldest daughter of Willie and Nora Thielemann, she will be remembered for her caring, loving, and lively personality. Loraine married W.W. Stubblefield (Billy) in 1939. They shared a wonderful life together fishing, dancing, and hunting until Billy's death in 1964. She met Herbert Tappe and married in 1970. Enjoying travel, dancing, good food, and lots of domino games throughout their 35 year marriage, Herbert died in 2005. A member of Peace Lutheran Church, Loraine was an active participant and found comfort in her friends and fellow congregants. Loraine is survived by her son, W.W. (Mike) Stubblefield and his wife Janet; her sister, Estella Turicchi; Estella's children, Suzane Westholm, and Sly (Jimmy) Turicchi and his wife, Karfen; nephews, Gary Wehring and wife, Charity, and Michael Wehring and wife Cheryl; great-nephews and nieces also mourn her loss. Loraine was predeceased by her parents; sister, Wilma and her husband, Ben Wehring; and Estella's husband, Syl Turicchi. Our family would not be complete without Rose Flores, loving and devoted caregiver for many years whose strength supported the family through life's happy moments and tribulations. Rozario Gomez, a loving care giver had brought comfort as well to our family. The burial at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park on May 27th will be followed by a memorial celebration of Loraine's life at Peace Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions in Loraine's memory to a charity close to your heart.
