Bio

Herald Coaster, May 31, 1971: Funeral services for Tom Talasek, 80, of 3200 Ave. I, Rosenberg, were held at 10 am. today in the Rosenberg Brethren Church, with the Rev. Milton Maly officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Talasek died Saturday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He had owned and operated the Rosenberg Swap Shop for many years. His wife died in 1966. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Millie Psencik and Mrs. Ben Babovec, both of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Leona Weaver of Fort Worth; three sons, Albert Talasek, Jerry Talasek, and Tom Talasek, all of Rosenberg; two brothers, Will Talasek of Rosenberg and Ed Talasek of Temple; a sister, Mrs. Alvina Simek of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
