cemetery lot bought by Perry Ferris Obituary: GUYMON DAILY HERALD Thursday, April 27, 1989 Perry Ferris died at the Dumas Memorial Hospital Sunday evening. He was born in Ipava, Ill, November 25, 1903. He married Jennie Peterson at Fredrick, Oklahoma, January 5, 1924 .She died September 23, 1986. They moved from Fredrick to Southgate, California in 1956 and moved to Texhoma in 1980. Mr. Ferris was a resident of Coldwater Manor Nursing Home in Stratford, Texas since 1985. He was in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Thrasher, Joyce Meyer of Texhoma and May Hickerson of Paramount, California; nine grandcildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the First Baptist Church of Texhoma with Harold James officiating. He will be assisted by Winston Curtis. Burial will be at the Texhoma Cemeery under the direction of Dawson-Welsh Funeral Home. The family suggest memorials be made to the Coldwater Manor Nursing Home, Stratford.
