Bio
Amy Ferris died at the Dumas Memoriał Hospital Tuesday afternoon. She was born Lipan, Tex. Aug. 1, 1905. She was married to Perry Ferris at Perry, Okla. Jan. 5, 1924. They moved to South Gate, Calif. in 1926. They moved to Texhoma in 1980. Her and her husband were residents of Coldwater Manor in Stratford,Tex. For a year. Survivors include her husband of Coldwater Manor; three daughters, Pauline Thrasher, Joyce Meyer, both of Texhoma, Mae Hickerson of Paramont, Calif.; one sister, Virgie Mae Boren of Norman, Okla.; three brothers, Guy Peterson, San Bernardino, Calif., Marvin Peterson of Star City, Ark., Herman Peterson of east Texas; nine grandchildren; and 17 great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Texhoma with Harold James officiating. Interment will be in the Texhoma Cemetery under the direction of the Dawson - Welch Funeral Home.
